The Township requires that complete applications and the corresponding fee are submitted a minimum of fifteen (15) business days before the event or anticipated start of sales. Please note that completion of this application form does not guarantee final approval of a licence.
All retailers looking to sell fireworks within the Township of Woolwich are required to obtain a fireworks sale licence. Fireworks sales may only be conducted on the six business days before Canada Day and Victoria Day. A location inspection by Township of Woolwich Fire Services is required before a licence can be issued.
Not all fireworks shows require a permit. If your event is using high-hazard, professional fireworks, you will require a permit whether the event is private or open to the public. If you are setting off low hazard, consumer fireworks, you will only need a display permit for events that are open to the public.
